Culture company Qulenium was established in year 1999
In our company participate and are actually involved children from 4 years
old and more who have sincere wish to explore in contemporary dance and
beyond.
Every school season we have many workshops which include more than 140 young
dancers. That all ends in final productions on theatre stages. Among all
these we also participate on Slovenian dance festivals (Pipi Longstocking
festival, Transgeneration festival, Ziva`s FESTIVAL, OPUS1 ...). Many times
we are also guests on various performances.
Our dancers also participated festivals abroad- in Croatia - SPHA festival
and as well in the International festival for young artists - PLANETADO in
Lille in France.
In the field of contemporary performing arts we achieved extraordinary
results (4 times winners).
Among many short choreographie the most impressive are long dance
performances:
- SQUIRREL IN CACTUS COAT (in 2006)
- MICROORGANISMS (in 2005)
- SYMBIOSE (in 2006)
- ...
Every year in June we organize summer dance-creativity camp MASUN, in the
very nice mountaniry-forest area in Slovenia. The camp has dance and many
others creative workshops. At the end we enclose it with dance performance.
Dance performance consists of theatre elements, author`s music samples which
are the products of dancer`s all week`s long gathering, exploring,
dancing,...
So, let me finish with my view of the association.
We are the association of young entusiastic people with sincer and deep wish
to gain some new dance challenges, to explore the unknown spheresof every
individum in the contemporary performing arts. |
